Alexa wanted to explore an environmental approach within her still life. By exploring Woolacombe beach, she wanted to show recycling within nature. Fortunately, this particular beach is very well looked after and she didn't find any rubbish on the beach. So, Alexa took empty bottles to the beach and photographed them. Unfortunately, lots of beaches are overloaded with rubbish and we need to act now to protect the environment.
These images have a very clean feel and commercial feel and is advertising the importance of recycling. Scattered in nature there is lots rubbish and as humans we need to work together to keep our planet safe. By recycling bottles, reusing rubbish we are showing that rubbish can turn into something beautiful.
Alexa also spent time in the studio and created some images for her campaign by using props to reinforce her mission to promote recycling.
